Indoor play has a new home, and you don't have to drive across town to visit Play Pad ATL. This new facility, opening June 1 with a wide variety of summer camp options, offers activities for the entire family. The indoor play facility will open shortly after for play, birthday parties, and so much more. All are invited to the grand opening on Sunday, May 16, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM to learn more.
Play Pad ATL's goal is to be the go-to place where families feel welcome and safe while engaging in exciting activities and enrichment programs developed with the community in mind.
Katrina Sloan and Tiffany Dumas, both natives of Atlanta, understand the struggle for parents in Southwest Atlanta to find quality and any venues and activities for their kids and families. "We are very aware of the great need to provide opportunities for the youth in our area and wanted to provide an opportunity to engage youth at a young age," says Sloan, mother of a three-year-old son and expecting.
"We know the sacrifices parents and caregivers have to make to drive several miles away from the SW area to entertain their children."
They made it their business to answer the call to meet the community's needs, and we should support their dedication.
Sloan, who serves as the General Manager, is an Atlanta native and resides in South Fulton. She previously worked as a 1st-grade teacher's assistance, is an active-duty servicemember serving as a public health practitioner and an event planner.
Dumas is full-time Operations Manager of Play Pad ATL. She was raised in Southwest Atlanta and has served children and their families for 15+ years as a full-time nanny and previously owned a daycare and summer camp owner.
Upcoming events include an open house on Sunday, May 16, and summer camps run from June 1 through August 20. At Play Pad ATL summer camps, children ages 5 to 12 years old are encouraged to increase their understanding and build independence while having fun.
