I've never really liked protein bars, but after I tried the Chocolate Chip SimplyProtein Baked Bars, I had a change of heart. I was surprised to find that they not only satisfied my hunger, but they also taste great and aren't loaded with sugar. You see, I have three autoimmune conditions including hypothyroidism. For this reason, I have battled with weight for a long time and have to be conscious of what I put in my body. I am also very mindful of what I feed my family.

Despite many companies claims of their protein bars being healthy, I avoid them and have tried to steer my kids completely clear of them. First of all, it's been hard to find a good one so I have wasted too much money on trying to find one that myself and my family likes. I've thrown away too many boxes of protein and breakfast bars to count. Secondly, the ones that I find that we do like, are filled with sugar and too many ingredients I can't pronounce. I mean, how are you supposed to know if these things are even safe for kids, or yourself for that matter?

My solution: NO PROTEIN BARS!

So when I had the opportunity to try SimplyProtein for myself, I admit I was skeptical. It was amazing how great they tasted and I did not need a translator to read the label. The next step was to present them to my family.

THE WHOLE FAMILY LOVES THEM!!!

Even my husband, who is a total health freak, and is even more vicious than I at monitoring what our kids eat. He likes to eat them for breakfast or as a snack to give him energy before heading to the gym. He's going to kill me for this picture! (^__^)

After the baked bars were such a hit, we wanted to try some of their other products.

WHAT SimplyProtein OFFERS

  • Chocolate Chip Baked Bars - Made with real chocolate chips, almonds, and oats, these are my favorite! The homemade, baked texture melts in your mouth. They contain 11 grams of protein, 3 grams of sugar, and 13 grams of fiber, and are 210 calories. They also come in Peanut Butter Cookie flavor which contains 11 grams of protein, 2 grams of sugar, and 12 grams of fiber, and are 220 calories.
  • Lemon Crispy Bars - These crunchy lemony protein bars are delicious with a light, crispy texture unlike any other bar out there. They have 15 grams of protein, 150 calories, 3 grams of sugar, and 7 grams of fiber. Also available in Peanut Butter Chocolate flavor which has 14 grams of protein, 160 calories, 3 grams of sugar and 7 grams of fiber. Made with real roasted peanuts and unsweetened chocolate, you will love these!
  • Barbecue Crunchy Bites - These crunchy snacks are seasoned to perfection with a savory barbecue seasoning (15 grams of protein, 140 calories, 2 grams of sugar, and 4 grams of fiber). They are super satisfying with bursts of flavor without the oily coating you find on the leading brands of barbecue chips. These delicious and nutritious snacks strike the perfect balance of clean ingredients and an adequate amount of protein. Another option is Sea Salt and Cracked Pepper which has 16 grams of protein, 140 calories, 0 grams of sugar, and 4 grams of fiber.

They all make great snacks on-the-go for busy families like ours, and they hold the kids over until their next meal. Let me tell you though, my boys are so funny. They are so used to snacks being taken away from them. Watching them hideout with their snacks in the playground was hilarious.

My toddler thinks the baked bars are cookies, and he loves cookies. He likes sweet and savory flavors so it's common to catch him with both snacks at one time. . . and since we've found SimplyProtein snacks I am OK with him sneaking an extra snack.

My tween likes the Barbecue Crunchy Bites. I caught him hiding out in the jungle gym enjoying a bag until his little brother came along. If only looks could kill! (LOL)

As for me, I like all of them, but I'm the photographer so there's no photo available. :-) Take it from us, SimplyProtein is simply the best!
