Creative Roots Gives Hydration A Flavor Boost: Kid-Tested-Mom Approved

Fruit-flavored coconut water keeps kids happy, healthy, and hydrated!

Creative Roots sponsored this article, but as always, all opinions expressed are 100% my own.

When my kids say they're thirsty, I'm that mom who says, "get a drink of water." Because my family loves dessert and requests it daily, I do my best to make sure that they don't drink their sugars. For this reason, I was too excited to introduce them to the new plant-powered beverage, Creative Roots, a better-for-you beverage for kids (and parents too)!

I've come to gain a reputation for sharing new and healthy products among my family, friends, and subscribers who have become friends, so when the opportunity to share Creative Roots with my community arose, I jumped at the chance. Amidst flu season and the Covid-19 pandemic on the rise, parents are incredibly mindful about what we're doing to keep our families healthy right now. Hydration is key to staying healthy. When our kids get tired, cranky, slow, or sleepy—we're always guessing what they need. A nap? A snack? A meal? A time-out? Yet, we never seem to consider that it could be dehydration.

I talk to lots of parents in my line of work and you'd be surprised at how many of them tell me their kids don't not like water. Although many were apprehensive, parents and kids alike, everyone who tried Creative Roots loved it and wanted more...even Lil Fred, son of the Freddy Falcon, mascot for the Atlanta Falcons. Check out these adorable faces!

According to a study published in the American Journal of Public Health*, 1 in 2 kids is underhydrated. Underhydration impacts kids far beyond thirst. A recent review of studies on hydration** suggests that underhydration may have a negative impact on cognitive development and school performance.

So how can you tell if your child is properly hydrated?

An easy test to check if your kid is hydrated is to look at the color of their pee. If your child's pee is dark yellow, they may be underhydrated. A transparent color indicates proper hydration. Creative Roots created a pee scale to help you keep track and know when to hydrate!

Creative Roots helps give kids the hydration they need while offering the delicious flavors they love. It's made with all-natural ingredients with 1g of sugar*, so I feel good about serving it to my family.

Creative Roots comes in these four kid-approved flavors:
o   Watermelon Lemonade
o   Peach Mango
o   Orange Pineapple
o   Mixed Berry

Also, don't forget to check the side of your Creative Roots bottle and meet the Sploots — the friendly, plant-powered characters you see on the packaging and in Creative Roots' ads. The fruit-inspired characters encourage overall health and wellness and remind kids of the importance of hydration!

Creative Roots is available in grocery stores nationwide. Locally, you can find it at Kroger, Walmart, and Target. You can also learn more by visiting www.drinkcreativeroots.com.
