East Point - Salute to the Red, White, and Blue: A Hometown Celebration

July 4, 3-11 PM

Downtown Commons, 2757 East Point Street, East Point

Details: Salute to the Red White and Blue, is not only the oldest but also the largest such event in south Fulton and has added to the name Hometown Celebration.

The celebration will be held across from the East Point MARTA station and East Point City Hall and will feature activities for the entire family. The highlight of the evening will be a fireworks display at 9:30 p.m. when the city will present the largest Pyro Digital Fireworks extravaganza which will be synchronized to a musical score.

Six Flags Over Georgia

Details:  It’s everything you love about the park and then some. Enjoy nightly all-you-can-eat buffets and fireworks shows, plus early access to the rides if you bring a can of Coca-Cola to the gate.


BBQ, Blues Brews & Soul Festival Independence Day Celebration

July 6, 7-10 PM

4th of July Fireworks Hike

July 4, 8-10 PM

Panola Mountain State Park, 2620 Highway 155 SW, Stockbridge

Details: If you want to slow down and do something way different this July 4, join a ranger for a leisurely stroll to the top of Panola Mountain. Hikers will enjoy a panoramic view of Stone Mountain and Atlanta's Independence Day Celebrations from a distance.


Fantastic Fourth Celebration

Details: Stone Mountain is one of the Atlanta area's most cherished holiday visits. The park is only a few minutes outside of the city, and it's full of attractions for the whole family. The beautiful giant granite dome makes for one of the coolest spots to watch fireworks fly over.
