May 10, 2019

Bring Mom to The Rock Ranch for a Day with Fresh Air, Fresh Flowers,

and Free Fresh Homemade Strawberry Ice Cream

Due to the inclement weather expected on Saturday, May 11, The Rock Ranch, where their mission of “Growing Healthy Families” would be difficult without Moms has rescheduled their Mother's Day event for Saturday, June 1. The Flower and Butterfly Festival is a special time to celebrate both Moms and the beauty of nature. Located about an hour south of Atlanta, The Rock Ranch is a 1,500-acre ranch created by Chick-fil-A founder, S. Truett Cathy, as a foster home for children. The ranch has evolved into a public destination that serves all families and groups. They host corporate events, camps, lodging, school field trips, and public festival events.

In addition to this family fun destination’s offerings of more than 25 attractions, on Saturday, June 1, guests may enjoy making a special bouquet for mom (BYOV – Bring Your Own Vase), hand-feeding butterflies in a butterfly house, seeing a release of hundreds of beautiful butterflies at the end of the day (4:30 p.m.), and Mom will receive a free strawberry ice cream.  There also will be gardening and butterfly experts available for conversation and questions.

A day at The Rock Ranch is filled with action-packed adventure and memory making with a wide variety of activities* to appeal to all ages including pony rides, locomotive train rides, zip lines*, paddle boats, a carousel, cane pole fishing, pedal carts, Farm Land animal zoo, 55 ft. tall rock climbing tower*, gemstone mining*, a cow train, ball toss sports zone and speed pitch, giant jumping pillow, Tiny Town children’s playhouse village for kids, a museum of gems, minerals and geology, and more.

For families and groups who would like to make it a getaway, a limited number of Farm Stay Houses are available as well as the unique opportunity for pioneer-style camping in Conestoga wagons. For details, visit https://therockranch.com/farm-stays/

Hours of operation on Saturday, June 1, will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.  The Rock Ranch Country Store will remain open until 5:30 p.m.
