Your Local Area Farmers' Markets!
Shop Local, Shop Often for Fresh Fruits, Veggies and More!
Spring time means it's that time of year to start heading to our local Farmers' Markets for fresh, locally grown and perhaps organic produce, fruits and vegetables. If you're like me, you love to walk around the stalls and talk to the growers about their products (maybe even try to do a little haggling since that's not something you can do at the large grocery chains)!
Farmers' markets also provide a great way to get kids involved in the family's meals and it gives them a chance to talk to the vendors to find out how and where the food is grown, to be able to touch them, see some foods they might not otherwise see at the local grocery stores, and maybe even consider trying those green veggies they may despise!
