A Taste of Fall Recipe of the Week
Crock Pot Applesauce
Now that it's fall, we want to start including some seasonal recipes that are hopefully easy to make and delicious too.
For all of the Crock Pot loving parents out there, here's one that tastes better than any store-bought applesauce your kids have ever had. It's also super easy to make and smells good too while it's cooking!
Crock Pot Applesauce
- 4 large apples, peeled ,cored, and cut in quarters
- juice from 1 lemon
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 T brown sugar
- 1/4 cup water
Peel, core, and cut your apples into quarters. Put them into crock pot. Add the juice from the lemon and the water. Add vanilla, cinnamon and brown sugar.
Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours. When the apples are super tender, mash with a potato masher or large fork.
Freeze extra if you are not going to use within 4 or 5 days.
Have your say
